Corrosion Technician - Hattiesburg, MS

Gulf South Pipeline Company, LP is seeking a Corrosion Technician to work at our Hattiesburg, Mississippi location. This position will be responsible for managing daily activities related to corrosion control for the Hattiesburg, MS area, involving (but not limited to) all facets of cathodic protection and data acquisition, interpretation, and associated corrections / repairs for the same. Typical work hours for this position are 40-50 per week.

 

Qualified candidates will have the ability to perform all standard field tests for the application of such protection systems, including test station surveys, interference mitigation, rectifier inspection and repairs. Additional experience in close-interval surveys, soil resistivity measurements, current requirement testing, ground bed design, A/C mitigation, internal corrosion knowledge, operating knowledge of the Bass system and NACE certifications is a plus. As a condition of employment, the individual selected for this role will be required to obtain NACE Corrosion Technician certification within a reasonable time period.
