Data Architect

Data Architect Position in Oklahoma City.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for defining the major types and sources of data necessary to support the business, in a way that is understandable by stakeholders, complete, consistent, and stable.  This position will also as as the Release Manager for the Enterprise Data Warehouse project.

 

DATA STRATEGY:Define enterprise data architecture vision, strategy, principles and standards; get buy-in from stake-holders, management, business partners, and propagate throughout the company.Provide framework, stewardship, governance and decision making for management of data for project development teams, business users and other stake-holders.Deliver roadmaps to achieve the vision.

STANDARDS/PROCESSES/TOOLS:Develop enterprise data management methodology and standards, and promote to both technology and business throughout the company.Over time, create appropriate standards, processes and tools to promote and facilitate the mapping of data sources and documenting interfaces and data movement.Designing the movement of data through the enterprise and data quality.

PROJECT SUPPORT:Provide consulting support for the roll-out of meta-data management processes and tools.Define meta-data requirements to be mat at the project level and incorporate in project plans.Provide support on use of common enterprise information models and promote their use and enhancements by new projects.Act as a Release Manager for the Enterprise Data Warehouse project.

REQUIREMENTS:Proven track record in implementing enterprise meta-data management processes and tools and for managing meta-data for decision-support and operational systems.Familiarity with meta-data management tools - enterprise repository tools, data modeling tools and data profiling tools.Experience with the complete information system life cycle.Ability to deal with all levels of business

 

NOTE:80% SQL Server with Oracle as the Data WarehouseETL - InformaticaReporting - MS Reporting ServicesRelease Manager means this person will coordinate with Data Warehouse team and be the gate keeper for the Data Warehouse Production environment.Size of Group - 2 people currently
