Position Description:

Chevron Information Technology Company is accepting online applications for a Desktop Support Analyst (0608-50041308) located in Houston, TX, through August 21, 2006.

This position is part of Chevron?s Information Technology Company. The successful candidate will be part of the Integrated Global Support Division?s Central Region Team. The team provides various IT support services to the company?s business units in the central portion of the U.S. and Canada. This position will specifically provide dedicated IT services to the Chevron Natural Gas (CNG), with primary offices in downtown Houston, TX.

Qualifications:

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate must:

- Be able to support all Windows Operating Systems and office products.

- Have the ability to trouble shoot desktop and laptop hardware.

- Possess the ability to talk with clients, in person and over the phone, to correct their computer hardware, software, and connectivity problems.

- Participate and manage the Phoenix Case tracking system, and meet all service level quality agreements set for the Business Unit.

- Support 300 Internal and Remote Customers

- Familiar with Bloomberg, Starbuks, Endure or Ultimus or other Trading applications

Candidates possessing expert knowledge in the following areas will be given additional preference:

? Configure and Support various Critical to Trading group

? Help enforce IP Standards

? Operate as SmartBadge Agent

? Manage IT Moves, Adds, and Changes(MACS)

? Configure Network Printers

? Deploy New Desktops/Laptops

? Manage User Accounts, Security, Group Policy in Active Directory

? Manage IT needs for Offsite Business forums

? Configure and Support Wireless, PDA, Blackberrys

? Maintain Configuration and Installation documentation

? Maintain hardware/software inventory control and billing

? Advise IT purchasing and procurement

SPECIAL SKILLS/ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Bachelor?s degree preferred in Information Technology, Information Management, or related fields.

- Associate Degrees in IT-related fields, or IT-related certifications such as Microsoft Certified Professionals required.

- 3-5 years of professional IT experience and service, and appropriate IT certifications considered in lieu of an undergraduate degree.

- Relocation benefits will not be considered.
