About the Opportunity This Distribution Specialist provides day-to-day support for planning and scheduling of work activities, manpower, equipment, materials etc. to meet in-service dates and level resource requirements for substation construction and maintenance activities. This includes preparing work packages, obtaining materials or equipment for construction and maintenance activities and scheduling work requests. Evaluate resource requirements, identify gaps in resource availability, and identify solutions for obtaining resources to complete work activities as scheduled. Monitor performance indicators and provide regular feedback to department management to ensure performance is aligned with targets. Work with internal and external customers for inquiries concerning construction and maintenance activities. Review completed work to ensure equipment records, maintenance plans and asset records are updated and reflect as-built conditions. Must be willing to work extra and irregular hours and assist as needed during emergency activities such as major storms.

Qualifications

Required

Must possess an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent related experience.

A working knowledge of construction methods and standards, maintenance practices and procedures for Electric substation and underground facilities is required.

Must have demonstrated the ability to meet deadlines.

Must demonstrate verbal and written communication skills to effectively exchange information with customers, external contacts and company employees.

Knowledge of Accident Prevention Procedures and ability to work safely is required.

Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a personal vehicle.

Preferred

Experience with substation construction or maintenance is preferred.

Previous experience in SAP work management, SAP maintenance of technical objects, CREWS and AM/FM computer systems preferred.

Basic knowledge of National Electrical Safety Code and National Electrical Code preferred.

Basic knowledge of PC software applications including Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes preferred.
