(Electric) Load Profiling Analyst I

ERCOT, located in the Austin, TX area, is the organization entrusted to keep electric power flowing to approximately 20 million Texas customers ? representing 85 percent of the state?s electric load and about 75 percent of the Texas land area. We also manage the financial settlement for the hundreds of market participants in Texas?s deregulated wholesale bulk power and?administers customer switching.

Our Market Operations Division has a need for a Load Profiling Analyst I. This person performs daily operation of ERCOT?s profiling functions.? The Load Profiling Analyst I will assist in the profiling computing systems development, testing of new software applications, and development of business processes and procedures.? The Load Profiling Analyst I will assist in load research sampling, data collection, and analysis required to support load profiling within ERCOT.? The Load Profiling Analyst I will help ensure that load profiles are properly designed, applied and maintained.To be considered, we require:

?????????? Bachelors? degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics or related field (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)

?????????? Minimum 1 year of electric utility experience in a related load profiling position

?????????? Exposure to electricity market deregulation,n with preference given to operational experience in an ISO/RTO operating in a competitive energy market structure

?????????? Proficiency in multi-organizational interfacing, in addition to policy compliance monitoring and enforcement

?????????? Computer skills in Access, Word, Excel, Oracle, Windows N/T, UNIX, and MV90

?????????? Computer skills in LPSS, SAS, and MetrixND/ND Auto

?????????? Knowledge in electricity metering systems and concepts

?????????? Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts verbally and in writing

?????????? Knowledge of the principles and practices of load research, sampling, statistics, and load profiling
