Electrical Technician

 

Enbridge Energy Company, Inc, a leader in crude and natural gas transportation, gathering, and processing, is currently seeking an Electrical Technician to be located at their Marshall, MI facilities. This position will be responsible for providing coverage for the Enbridge facilities in the Marshall area.

 

Responsibilities:  Maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment at pump stations and metering and terminal facilities, including 4160-Volt switchgear, 480-volt Motor Control Centers (MCC?s) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC?s).Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoots/repairs breakdowns. Maintains the US Department of Transportation Compliance requirements and associated documentation, electrical maintenance record keeping and other paperwork relating to general operations.  Assists with installation of new equipment.  Participates in emergency and other types of after-hours call-outs.  Attends safety, emergency response, electrical and other training as required.

 

Qualifications:  Technical certificate in electrical maintenance.4+ years of electrical maintenance in an industrial setting, or equivalent.Prefer a background in industrial electrical controls and instrumentation.  Familiarity with switchgear, MCC?s, hydraulics and PLC?s is required, as is a general working knowledge of personal computers.  Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and through written reports, and share in emergency after hours ?call outs.?  Ability to work independently without constant direct supervision.  Must live within 25 miles of the Marshall, MI facilities, possess a valid driver?s license, and due to respiratory protection requirements, be clean shaven if applicable.
