Equipment Performance Monitoring Engineer

The Equipment Performance Monitoring Engineer will play an integral part of the Maintenance and Reliability Team that provides maintenance services to BPs North Slope operations.


Accountabilities Include:

Provide day to day equipment performance monitoring and reliability engineering.
Provide data analysis services in support of reducing equipment Total Cost of Maintenance (TCOM) through the application of effective Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) and other value adding maintenance work practices.
Establish strategic direction and implement equipment performance monitoring and testing programs, including the collection and preliminary analysis of rotating equipment performance data.
Develop and implement capacity management program.
Conduct performance testing to determine driver, driven equipment, recycle, and other constraint losses.
Assist in the development and maintenance of overall equipment monitoring program and associated processes.
Assist to develop equipment monitoring procedures as required.
Work directly with the discipline engineering, overhaul team and operations to ensure effective program integration and delivery.
Develop business cases based on equipment performance monitoring recommendations.


Required Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Equipment Performance Monitoring Engineer applicants must have:

Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer.
Willingness and ability to work a 12-hour day shift with a 4 days on/3 days off or a 7 days on/off rotational schedule on the North Slope of Alaska.
A minimum of 3 years of process experience in heavy industrial facilities.
A minimum of an Associates Degree.


Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:

An Associates Degree in mechanical, process or electrical engineering.
Visual Basic or other programming experience for Excel type applications.
Strong monitoring and data analysis skills.
Experience in equipment monitoring and analysis programs.
Willingness to continue education in reliability and monitoring.
Knowledge of North Slope/Greater Prudhoe Bay facility production and maintenance practices.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry.
