Facility Manager

Brewster Dairy, Inc., the country?s largest Swiss Cheese manufacturer, is seeking a Facility Manager for our Brewster, Ohio plant.  We are looking for a talented, energetic individual to manage and control the engineering support programs for the physical plant and the facilities (Waste Water Treatment, Boilers, Air Compressors, Buildings, Grounds, Ammonia Generation, Ice Builder, Fire Protection, Electrical Distribution, Natural Gas, Water Supply and Roofs).  Position is responsible for developing his/her team to solve their own day-to-day operational issues; collaborating with the supervisor and management group to insure the continuous operation of the plant while maximizing efficiencies; and driving code compliance, energy/utility conversion, and maintaining facility condition.

 

The successful candidate for this position will possess a Bachelor?s degree in a directly related engineering field and will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Waste Water Treatment plant operation and maintenance as typically acquired through 3 to 5 years prior applicable experience.  Candidate will also possess an understanding of EPA pollution control and potable water standards.  Capital project management skills/experience is necessary.  Candidate must have knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineering design principles as applicable to construction/renovation.  Experience in federal, state, and local codes and ordinances pertinent to facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.  Must have the ability to work in an unstructured environment, and have the ability to effectively give and receive constructive feedback.  Excellent interpersonal communication, organization, and human resource skills are required.
