The Opportunity:Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and meticulous individual for our Field Application Engineer in Lake Zurich, IL position. Field Application EngineerResponsibilities: Help customers apply SEL products through visits, demonstrations, training courses and telephone contact. Contribute to product specifications, application and testing software and literature. Participate in SEL marketing and sales activities and industry technical meetings and conferences. Maintain and improve knowledge of all SEL products. Teach in training schools for customers and SEL personnel. Maintain customer database for customer application information. Follow and improve marketing, sales and engineering quality procedures.

 

Qualifications: B.S. in Electrical Engineering Minimum 5 years experience in protection of electric power systems Excellent technical training, speaking and writing skills Experience with protective relay applications and industry practices Experience using SEL products Ability to travel 35% of the time Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in team environment Background check results satisfactory to SEL Negative drug test result(s)
