Field Service Engineer

Duties: Perform customer support activities involving the installation, modification and repair of equipment and systems; conduct on-site installation following established testing procedures to ensure proper working order; isolate equipment start-up malfunctions and take corrective action; set up hardware and verify proper operation; ensure system software is functional; introduce customer to system hardware and its operation; represent company in dealings with customer; responsible for customer's satisfaction with equipment.

 

Complete knowledge of Canberra equipment required.

 

Technical degree from 4-year college or university, or equivalent.

 

Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills; be logical and analytical when facing problems; must be a self-starter.

 

Must be able to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

 

2-5 years experience in a field service role.
