HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICIAN SPECIALIST @ STANFORD UNIVERSITY

Stanford University currently has an excellent opportunity available for aHIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICIAN SPECIALIST

within the Utilities Division of Facilities Operations.

 

This position requires:Minimum of 10-12 years relevant experience with journey level, medium/high voltage equipment (600 AC Volts and above) Completion of recognized apprenticeship program (or equivalent education and/or experience) for journey level electricianDemonstrated knowledge of high voltage electrical theory and practices sufficient to plan work independently on power distribution equipmentUnderstanding of/willingness to comply with, electrical and work safety procedures including National Electrical Code & CAL-OSHA StandardsAbility to handle tools of the trade (amprobes, amp meters, recording devices, etc), to work in awkward positions of crouching or bending etc. for a period of time, and to perform moderately heavy lifting is requiredAbility to read metering schematic, wiring, installation diagrams, etc.Ability to diagnose electrical trouble and then make repairs on equipmentAbility to perform new installations of high voltage equipment and electrical systemsAvailable to work overtime and available for callbacks
