Integration Data Analyst

Client seeks an Integration Data Analyst for a 6+/months contract with a possible "Contract to Hire' opportunity for their Houston location. The following is the complete details of this position.

NAGP DCT consists of a number of custom-built and vendor-based applications as part of the mid-office IT infrastructure. The initiative that is currently under progress is to replace aging, diverse and inflexible system infrastructure with global and versatile applications. A Data Analyst in this role will be interacting primarily with multiple projects teams managing Gas, Power, NGL, Emissions and Coal trading systems. A new deal entry system is in place for gas and is currently being enhanced to allow deal capture and other functionality for additional commodities such as power and emissions. Phased implementation of different commodities currently requires integration between legacy applications and new systems replacing them.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to acquire in-depth exposure to risk management and trading strategies within IST.

Therefore, the Data Analyst role will primarily be interacting with multiple projects teams supporting Gas, Power, NGL, Emissions and Coal trading systems to ensure the integrity of data in all applications and integration layer within the Trade and Controls department.

-Data analysis and mapping in support of energy trading operations.

-Manage data integration between various energy trading systems.

-Assist in the development, operations, verification, and enhancements of the systems to ensure data integrity.

-Assist in developing workflows and business processes to meet the goals of the energy trading business units.

-Assist the wider project team in problem resolution and change control

-Address questions on data aspects of the energy trading operations and processes.

-Identify and troubleshoot issues relating to data flows between energy trading systems.

-Support projects, as necessary, to implement energy trading systems, including future enhancements.

-Creation of mapping documents to meet the goals and timelines of set forth within the development cycles and energy trading business units

-Creation of Data Models to meet the goals and timelines of set forth within the development cycles and energy trading business units

-Creation of data conversion process designs

-Creation of data conversion scripts (macros, SQL e and Validation Business Requirements (for App, IL comp?s etc.)

-Creation of test scripts/testing and results documentation

'-5+years of energy trading experience and a strong technical background.

-Good knowledge of complex database structures.

-Database skills using SQL (Sybase, Oracle, SQLServer.)
