LNG Tech

As the second oldest company in Georgia, Atlanta Gas Light and its parent AGL Resources are not content to do business in the same old way. Today, AGL Resources is positioned to become the preeminent distributor of natural gas along the east coast, providing service through six utilities, two gas storage facilities and an asset management company.

The LNG Tech will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plant equipment, systems, and controls.

Representative Duties and Responsibilities:

? Maintains and repairs equipment and controls (e.g., gas turbines, liquefaction compressors, process control systems; heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC).

? Plans and schedules preventative maintenance (PM) activities (e.g., engine overhauls, valve adjustments, filter changes, compression tests); prepares work orders; performs tasks; enters time and work codes in plant maintenance system to ensure compliance with state, federal, and Company policies and regulations.

? Trouble shoots equipment and system problems (e.g., motor failures, interrupted gas flows, low pressure on line); repairs or replaces as required; maintains maintenance records for all equipment.

? Researches prices (e.g., oil, filters, equipment); prepares quarterly maintenance budget.

? Maintains LNG tanker stations, tankers, trailers (e.g., repairs leaks, calibrates and replaces gauges).

? Repairs mowers, tractors; helps clean parts; assists other LNG plants.

? Assists with liquefaction and vaporization processes.

? Plans equipment and parts replacements; fabricates parts when replacements cannot be located (e.g., no longer manufactured).

? Develops new procedures; trains Operators.

Education and Experience Required:

? High school diploma or GED

? 3-5 years experience maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, electronic equipment and systems

Preferred:

? 2-3 years LNG Operator experience

Skills:

? MS Excel ? basic proficiency

? MS Access ? basic proficiency

? MS Word ? basic proficiency

? MP2 Plant Maintenance System ? intermediate proficiency

? Stress management

? Operator Qualified in accordance with Company Plan

Certifications/Licenses Required:

? Commercial driver?s license with hazardous materials endorsement

? Company driving test

? Fire Fighting certification
