With guidance, performs elementary maintenance and repair of facilities, distribution system, structures and equipment.  Assists maintenance or distribution department and others as assigned.
 
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1.  Receives and complies with on the job training, instruction, assignments and direction from maintenance department employees in order to assist and provide support to the department and others.
2.  Supports mechanics in performing preventive maintenance and repairs to facilities, distribution system and related structures and equipment.
3.  Aids in supplying employees with materials, tools and equipment.
4.  Assists in repair and rebuilding of equipment and cleans machines, equipment and tools.
5.  Performs physical tasks such as digging, mixing, loading, unloading, etc.
6.  Drives company vehicle to pick up maintenance and office supplies.
7.  Performs housekeeping/grounds keeping duties.
8.  Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
9.  Complies with all Company policies and procedures and adheres to Company standards.
10.  Performs any related duties as assigned.
 



Requirements:


High school education or equivalent.  Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language and to possess basic mechanical skills and aptitude.  Proficient in use of common hand tools such as wrenches, cutters, pliers, screw drivers, etc.  Handles up to 50 pounds unassisted.  Valid driver’s license.  Team player committed to working in a quality environment.  Ability to work 2nd, 3rd shift, holiday and weekends as required.
