Manager - GSI Seismic Processing Megacenter - US

SITI is currently seeking a Manager - GSI Seismic Processing Megacenter - US for its Houston, Texas location.
Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for the EPSS-GSI Seismic Processing Infrastructure Services unit in the U.S., the Houston Seismic Infrastructure Mega Center in Houston, and for delivery of Seismic Infrastructure Services globally in cooperation with the GSI Seismic Processing Infrastructure Services units in the Netherlands and Malaysia. You will manage service delivery from the Houston GSI Megacentre location, including supporting seismic data media handling services. You will manage service delivery and staff in Houston and manage the seismic infrastructure systems services and staff. You will co-manage multi-location staff providing proactive and reactive support and seismic infrastructure optimization assistance to all global seismic infrastructure centers as part of virtual support teams. You will work as part of the Global Seismic Infrastructure Leadership Team.
Key Accountabilities Include:
- Managing end-to-end Service delivery management for the EPSS Global Seismic Infrastructure Services delivered from Houston
- Maintaining service delivery quality and customer satisfaction
- Handling financial responsibility (recovery and loss, budgeting) for these services
- Managing of third-party license/maintenance contracts for hardware, software, and services that are part of the portfolio
- Managing the definition and maintenance of Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators for services delivered to customers, as well as, subordinate services consumed from other groups in GITI
- Managing of service delivery staff
- Managing business development, as directed by the Manager Global Seismic Infrastructure
- Managing of the assigned seismic infrastructure and Service Work Orders
- Developing and enhancing processes around the ever greening of the Seismic Infrastructure
- Developing, enhancing and supporting the infrastructure software to be used the Megacenter and Satellite Centers
- Being accountable for required financial analysis associated with infrastructure upgrades/changes, and for business modeling analysis and reporting as related to changes in service
- Having an active participation of Global Seismic Infrastructure Leadership Team, and the extended EPSS Leadership Team
- Contributing beyond the scope of the accountabilities listed above, as the EPSS Leadership Team deems necessary to meet the overall accountabilities of EPSS, and those of IT4Shell
- Managing staff of approximately 35 Shell Staff and 7 to 10 contract staff including among other things: Performance management, Staff development, Talent management, Salary administration
- Being accountable for meeting (or exceeding) explicitly documented service level requirements for existing services under Global Seismic Infrastructure Services management. Position is a "Line Management? position, and hence carries accountabilities under Group Policies &
- Advising and consulting to EP customers on seismic data management matters, in conjunction with key EP seismic applications
- Ensuring the security of the operated IT systems as per Trust Domain baseline and EPSS Security Plan
- Manage and operate interfaces with: Manager Seismic Infrastructure Renewal, Manager Seismic Processing Satellite Centers, Technical Infrastructure Services Reactive and Proactive Support teams, Other GITI Service lines for Component Services, EPT-S Portfolio Management Initiative (PMI), EPT-S Seismic Application Support (SAS), Vendors/Suppliers
- Being responsible for Service Level Agreement compliance, maintaining Service Work Orders with EP customers, and maintaining tariff/cost models for the services provided
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must possess a Bachelors Degree: Geophysics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent technical or scientific discipline experience with emphasis in engineering and scientific course work in conjunction with IT course work. You must have approximately 5 plus years experience with technical EP related IT infrastructure, preferably associated with seismic processing and approximately 3 years staff supervisory experience. Experience with Unix/Linux. (Sun Solaris and Linux specifically) and experience in programming, Unix system administration, and batch processing is desired. Experience with seismic processing infrastructure and experience with seismic data, seismic data management, and working knowledge of seismic processing software (SIPMAP) is highly desirable.
