Manager Process Engineering - Projects

Location: Convent, Louisiana, United States Motiva Enterprises LLC, a joint venture between Shell Oil Company and Saudi Refining Inc., refines, distributes, and markets oil products in the eastern and southern United States. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Motiva refines and markets gasoline more than 7,000 Shell-branded gasoline stations.

Company assets include three refineries with a combined capacity of 725,000 barrels per day and ownership interest in 46 refined product storage terminals with an aggregate storage capacity of approximately 19 million barrels.

Motiva Enterprises LLC is currently seeking a Process Engineering Manager for its Convent, Louisiana location.

Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for improving safety, environmental, and financial performance of the Motiva Convent Refinery (COR) by developing and tracking to completion required and profitability projects and engineering studies.

Key Accountabilities Include:
- Representing Technology Leadership in the development and execution of capital projects at Convent
- Providing focus and leadership to front end development of projects
- Ensuring all of the proper reviews are held throughout the project development process, with an emphasis on concept development, hazard reviews, SEOM reviews, PHA, MOC, etc.
- Leading a team of 3 to 5 process engineers focused on projects
- Ensuring effective interfaces are maintained with Process Engineering, Operations, PEI, QM, Maintenance in the base plant
- Providing leadership to and ensuring proper development of Project Process Engineers
- Ensuring all process designs are safe and meet Company standards (EGGS, DEPS, etc.)
- Interfacing with outside engineering contractors who provide project services
- Interfacing with Shell Global Services to coordinate technical assurance for project designs
- Coaching and mentoring process engineers and contractors
- Contributing to the overall refinery management in capital spending
- Working closely with the Manager of Projects Engineering and others to develop the overall capital plan for the refinery annual T&R as well as the execution of this plan throughout the year

Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must possess a Bachelor?s Degree in Chemical Engineering and have approximately 8 or more years of relevant professional experience. You will have a strong technical background, with strong process knowledge of refinery operations. You will possess strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
