Operations Coordinator

Enbridge Energy Company, Inc, a leader in crude and natural gas transportation, gathering, and processing, is currently seeking an Operations Coordinator for our Houston, TX office. This person will work with Regulated Operations, both in the office and field, along with other departments, to ensure the efficient and safe operation of Enbridge?s regulated pipelines.



 

Specific Accountabilities:

? Work with Regulated Operations and other internal departments to establish and track Operations Metrics.

? Communicate with the field the importance of metrics, and assist them in the application of metrics to their daily jobs.

? Provide Operations oversight for the Company?s Operator Qualification Program.

? Assist Operations and Compliance in the handling of Notices of Violation and Notices of Probable Violation.

? Work with Compliance to provide interpretation of regulations for Operations in the field.

? Serve as a liaison between Compliance & Systems Integrity Department and Operations regarding regulatory compliance.

? Oversee and participate in the completion of pre-audits and audits in preparation for Federal and State regulatory audits.

? Work with Engineering and Operations personnel in the completion and proper close-out of projects.

? Work with Engineering, Operations, and Systems Integrity in the completion of the year?s integrity assessments.

? Work with other groups to represent Operations in the development and updating of Company manuals (Welding, Engineering Standards, O&M, etc.).

? Perform other duties as assigned.



Typical Qualifications:

? College Degree in a technical discipline - Engineering preferred.

? Minimum 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in the operation of oil and gas pipelines.

? Working knowledge of API and ASME Standards.

? Working knowledge of 49 CFR Part 192 and 49 CFR Part 195.

? Working knowledge of PSM (Process Safety Management) regulations, EPA SPCC (Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures) regulations and the U.S. MMS (Minerals Management Service) regulations.

? Excellent computer and analytical problem solving abilities.

? Excellent written and verbal communication and management skills.

? Ability to work with others from varied backgrounds and build consensus for new programs and initiatives.
