PLANT AND SERVICE COMBINATION

 

Columbia Gas of Ohio, a Leader in the energy industry has an opening for a Plant and Service Combination position located in Columbus, Ohio.

 

This position is responsible for the installation, repair and replacement of distribution facilities such as main lines and services and for the operation and maintenance of construction equipment. Responsible for the installation and removal of gas meters, meter settings, regulators and the inspection/testing of service and house lines.

 

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 18 months recent field experience in a plant department classification. Must possess a valid driver's license and (CDL) commercial drivers license. Must have the ability to perform basic math calculations; have mechanical aptitude & skill reading/interpreting gauges & dials. Must be able to prepare legible, complete and accurate orders & strong interpersonal skills;. Position is subject to call out and overtime as required.

 

Must live within 25-miles or 30 minute response time to the Columbus East Operating Center in Westerville. This position is subjected to DOT Anti-drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Plan (AMPP) regulations. Must be able to pass general aptitude, strength and odor-o-meter test. Must be able to be certified to wear a Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).

 

Required to work in all weather conditions and required to complete applicable customer service/Plant training.
