Pipeline Construction Superintendent
Job Objective:
Serve as pipeline compliance superintendent/operator on all company managed pipelines. Supervise all pipeline and plant construction for all business entities.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1.Assist with development of pipeline construction and repair of new pipeline and well connects. This includes preparing specifications and cost estimates, conducting surveys, establishing ROWs, supervising construction of pipeline while meeting all applicable codes and standards that may apply (i.e., DOT 192, ANSI B31.8, AP15L, A106, etc.).
2. Assist with construction of facilities at Old Ocean and Comite gas plants, as needed. This includes preparing specifications and cost estimates, supervising construction crews and meeting all applicable codes and standards (i.e., ANSI B31.3, PSM, etc.).
3. Identify required maintenance tasks through compliance inspections.
4.Perform and/or supervise the completion of maintenance tasks in accordance with DOT or applicable regulations.
5. Document and report all inspections and work performed in accordance with DOT or applicable regulations.
6.Work closely with and at the direction of company?s compliance manager in order to integrate work into company?s compliance program. Assist in the development and implementation of pipeline-required programs (including operator qualification, public awareness, integrity management, O&M manual).
7.Assist and coordinate pipeline construction by supervising contractors and inspecting work progress.
8.Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing pipeline standards, adhering to legal regulations, and conducting inspections.
9. Prepare pipeline reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.

?Reduce the total cost associated with inspections and maintenance of company managed pipelines.
? Pipeline work will include OPP, Cathodic Protection, relief valve settings, pipeline classification surveys, GPS surveys, population studies for Class and/or HCA determination, maintaining one-line drawings and the compiling of one-line drawings for all company managed pipelines.
? Assist with reviews, development, training and implementation of compliance programs and procedures. (Operations and Maintenance Manual, Public Awareness Manual, Emergency Response Manual, Integrity Management Manual and Operator Qualification Manual).
? Maintain employee confidence and protect company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
? Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
?Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.

Qualifications:
? Ten (10) years minimum of pipeline operating/construction experience.
? Working understanding of the operating aspects of DOT 192 & 195.
? Ability to accurately solve problems.
? Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
? Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
? Good written and verbal communication skills.
? Good management, administrative, and organizational skills.
? Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Educational Requirements:
Required: Bachelor?s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in engineering, or closely related field.
