Planning Engineer - Transmission/Power/Systems 70-80 K/yr

TRANSMISSION PLANNING ENGINEER for an expanding Wind Energy company based in Texas with BSEE, PE or ability to get one in 3 years,and experience in Power Systems Planning. Requires experience performing studies with one or more power system analysis package such as PTI PSSE, GE PSLF or Powerworld Simulator. Must have the skills to use analytical tools and other information to determine interconnection and grid capacity for delivery of wind project output and duplicate studies performed by transmission providers. Job requires the ability to work on short timelines, with less than complete information. Position is responsible for the technical quality, accuracy, and standards adherence of engineering and design drafting for the project, by working with the engineering and technical groups ensuring work outputs comply with standards and meets contract requirements. Must be willing to travel, living at worksite area for approximately 9 months per project (per diems provided), returning to office location between projects.
