Process Engineer — Energize -K

Shell Global Solution is seeking a Process Engineer ? Energize for its Houston, Texas location.

Responsibilities:
In this position, you will identify, advocate, and develop energy savings ideas at the client's site and subsequently implement these ideas using proprietary tools and techniques. You will have a direct impact on the bottom lines of Energize and the customer. You will report to the Energize Project Manager and take over all accountabilities when the Project Manager is off site.

Key accountabilities include:
Gathering existing and identifying/developing new energy savings ideas
Proposing and discussing implementation options with the client and then executing them
Networking and communicating with the rest of the Energize project and office teams
Developing a good relationship based on mutual trust
Willing to work within a clients existing work processes and boundaries
Traveling extensively (up to 80%) is required
Managing a variety of stakeholder relationships across the technical and operational organizations

Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering along with approximately 7 or more years of work experience in process engineering, plant experience and/or energy management. You must have a solid understanding of refining and petrochemical unit operations including distillation and heat exchange equipment. In addition, you must possess experience in Petrochemical plants and/or refineries; process simulation; Plant Operations; and Process technical support to Operations; Energy and Utility Systems; design or operational experience on process equipment, such as distillation columns, utilities systems, fired equipment, etc., and modeling experience with process simulation programs such as Proll, Hysys, Aspen. Familiarity with major refining processes and/or lower olefins technology is strongly preferred. Breadth of background is essential.
