Procurement Supervisor-power-permanent in NC

Responsible for soliciting and obtaining quotations, negotiation of commercial issues and carrying to completion the purchase and delivery of assigned categories, materials, equipment and services.  This is the first level that includes direct supervision over a group of professionals.  This level is responsible for one or more of the following functions of the procurement process: Purchasing responsibility for any and all materials and equipment for a project; Purchasing responsibility for any and all subcontracts for a project; Direct supervision over a group of procurement professionals for projects or within a Section. Must be able to work with other people.  Required to be a self-starter.  Demonstrates knowledge of commercial terms and conditions through development of project specific commercial terms and conditions, which reflect the EPC prime contract requirement.  Demonstrates advanced knowledge of commercial terms and conditions through successful resolution of supplier exceptions during proposal negotiations and has a record of successful price negotiations on large purchase orders.  Relied upon for expertise in assigned area of responsibility and considered one of the most knowledgeable in their area by peers.  Successful in developing accurate budgets and meeting or bettering established project goals.  Ability to organize and direct the efforts of others toward the accomplishment of assigned goals. 

 Qualifications 

 Requires a BA or BS degree in Purchasing, Business, Technical or related field. Must have a solid Power background. Must have working knowledge of personal computers.  Twelve plus (12+) years of experience in procurement.  Be willing to travel as required and accept relocation.  Proven procurement experience - Domestic and International.  Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.  - Apply on line
