Safety Representative

We are currently seeking a Safety Representative to cover the north Texas area for our Ark-La-Tex division.

 

In this role, you will enforce and uphold all safe work practices and policies; perform monthly safety meetings in respective areas; perform equipment and facilities inspections and promote and model safety behaviors throughout the division. This will include acting as safety coach and mentor to assigned district(s); performing scheduled and unscheduled field audits and monthly inspections of trucks, rigs, etc. and provide corrective actions; reporting all accidents and near misses according to reporting procedure; performing on-site investigations of all accidents for medical, light-duty, lost time and fault vehicle accidents to determine root cause; preparing and presenting all monthly safety meetings for assigned yards; conducting new hire safety orientation when necessary; scheduling training for all personnel including First Aid, STOP, Defensive Driving, etc. and providing support to the district manager to help ensure safety compliance and safe working behavior.

 

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED; knowledge of well servicing industry with some previous oilfield experience; 3?5 years minimum experience with related safety training (First Aid, CPR, Confined Space, etc.); at least two (2) years experience in oilfield well servicing; excellent interpersonal skills (written/verbal) in order to give presentations on various safety related topics; knowledge of all Federal, State and local safety regulations relating to oil field industry; ability to acquire necessary safety related training; outgoing, self-starter attitude and basic computer skills. The qualified candidate is also required to live in the assigned district?s area. Safety experience in the STOP program, and JSA training preferred.
