Sales Support Specialist

Summary of Position : Collect and research account information and perform pricing analysis. Generate proposals/contracts for region sales group.  Assist in contract renewal process. Perform special projects as required.

 

Responsibilities:

-  Collect and research natural gas, fuel oil and electricity usage information on a daily basis from websites, various sources within a specified timeframe.  Ensure accuracy and timeliness of submissions.  Coordinate activities with supervisor.

 

-  Prepare proposals and generate contracts for sales group and ensure accuracy of all details prior to processing.

 

-  Assist in contract renewal project in coordination with supervisor.  Performs special projects on an as needed basis related to customer pricing and account analysis.

 

-  Assist in all aspects of sales and marketing sales support including providing customer support, problem-solving and direct customer contact.

 

-  Prepare pricing analysis on a weekly/monthly and ad hoc basis for the sales group management.  Reviews reports before submission to supervisor and senior management.

 

Dimensions:

 

-  An undergraduate degree in marketing, accounting or related field is preferred.

 

-  1-3 years experience in a marketing or customer service environment, preferably in an energy environment.

 

-  Strong verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to customer service.

 

-  Quantitative, analytical problem-solving skills.

 

-  Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a high volume work environment and meet tight deadlines.

 

-  Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office software including Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint and internet search engines.

 

-  Ability to work as a team player.
