Job Description:

? Lead the development of new retail products and services  from product concept generation through implementation
? Work with Market Research to uncover key consumer insights to create new consumer product ideas
? Develop product prototypes
? Refine concepts/prototypes based on research and customer feedback
? Assess, develop and manage strategic alliances for product development, supply, delivery and marketing
? Perform rigorous financial analysis and risk assessment to support product launch decision.
? Drive the development and approval of new product business cases
? Assess and manage resolution of new product impacts on customer operations
? Create and manage project plans and development budgets for assigned product concepts.
? Organize and lead cross-functional project teams to drive the launch of new products and services.
? Work with Mass and Channel Marketing to create product messaging, sales collateral, launch strategy and marketing communications plan.
? Successfully prioritize and manage multiple time sensitive priorities


Qualifications:

? 5+ years work experience in a quantitative business function.
? Minimum 2 years of progressively increasing Consumer Marketing or Product Development experience with consumer-oriented products or services.  Product development experience with a utility or power company is a plus.
? Excellent understanding of financial modeling and valuation, customer operations, and information technology.
? Strong leadership and communications skills
? Knowledge of  supply and hedging strategy a plus
? Preference given to experience that includes:
  o Pricing
  o Project management
  o Channel marketing management
  o Market research
  o Financial modeling
  o Options pricing
  o Risk analysis and simulation (@ Risk or Monte Carlo)
  o Strategic alliances
  o Product/service development

Education Requirements:
? MBA strongly preferred. BA/BS considered if accompanied by extensive power industry and product development training/experience
? Engineering, economics, or highly quantitative bachelors degree a strong plus
