Senior Electrical Engineer
Applicant will perform electrical activities associated with the support of AEP?s generation fleet. Responsibilities will include taking lead engineering roles in specification, procurement, and condition assessment of electrical auxiliary equipment including GSU and Aux transformers, large power distribution transformers, motors, low and medium voltage switchgear, medium voltage motor starters, battery systems and UPS systems and in the completion of power system analysis including load flow, relay coordination, and arc flash calculations using EasyPower or ETap engineering software. These responsibilities will be performed with minimal oversight from management personnel. Working knowledge of utility power plant systems is considered a plus.
Experience Requirements
Candidate should possess a minimum of 13 years related experience with heavy emphasis on power plant electrical auxiliary systems. Professional Engineers license required.
Special Qualifications (Training, Skills ETC.)
Experience in transformer procurement, maintenance or design is a plus.
Work Hours / Travel Requirements
M-F 8-5, OT as needed, travel as needed
