Senior Electrical / I&C Systems Engineer

Location:  Robinson Nuclear Plant, Hartsville, SC

The Electrical / I&C Systems Engineer responsibilities/duties include:

--System engineering duties in the Electrical and Instrumentation and Control Unit within the Robinson Engineering Section. 
--Engineering support for a variety of plant systems. 
--Responsible for all aspects of coordination with Operations, Maintenance and various other site groups necessary to maintain assigned systems at optimal performance levels. 
--Strong leadership and project management skills are required. 
--Provide engineering level support for development of engineering evaluations, system monitoring and trending, Maintenance Rule duties, root cause analysis, operations, scheduling of maintenance activities and troubleshooting for all assigned systems. 
--Must have the ability to obtain and maintain qualifications for support of the site Emergency Response Organization and engineering support for field activities associated with assigned system modifications and testing.

Requirements: 
--BS degree in Engineering is required.  Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
--A minimum of five years experience in an engineering job related to systems and/or design support is strongly desired (commercial nuclear power or Navy nuclear power experience is preferred). 
--Professional engineer registration or EIT is desirable. 
--A strong knowledge of electrical systems and engineering fundamentals is required. 
--Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and a working knowledge of computer applications in a Windows environment such as  Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) is required. 
--Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access to the nuclear plant, qualifications in support of the site Emergency Response Organization and participate in the random fitness for duty program. 
--Position will require some call-out and outage support.

Career level.  Fully competent in use of both principles and application.  Works independently on tasks/projects with limited supervision.  Receives guidance only unusual or complex projects or issues.  Identifies problems and possible solutions and takes appropriate action for resolution. Bachelor?s degree in Engineering from an ABET or equivalently accredited school and 5+ years professional experience.
