Senior Engineer

Employee will be a member of the Operational Compliance Group responsible for assisting to assure DEGTs compliance with DOT, MMS and other pipeline safety regulations. 

Employee will be responsible for preparation of various regulatory filings and correspondence, including waiver petitions, comments to proposed regulations, responses to inquiries and enforcement actions, and various notifications.  Employee will also be responsible for regulatory reporting, such as pipeline mileage reporting, integrity management metrics and other required reporting.

Employee will participate in internal audits of DEGT operations and in DOT inspections.

Employee will assist with updates to DEGTs Standard Operating Procedures.

Employee will assist with DEGTs public education program, including annual public education brochures and DEGTs external website.

 

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelors degree in Engineering and a minimum of 3 years experience within the natural gas pipeline industry.  Familiarity with Pipeline Safety Regulations, ASME B31.8S and pipeline data bases is preferred.  The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to multi-task, establish and meet goals; project management skills; demonstrated knowledge in Microsoft Office programs and other computer applications

 

Knowledge in Mircorsoft Office Programs and other computer applications. Some travel required.
