Senior Gas Asset Representative

SCANA Services, a business unit of SCANA Corporation, has an immediate opening for a Senior Gas Asset Representative in the Gas Supply and Capacity Management department.  This position will have the responsibility for the purchase and sale of spot and short term supply and back up responsibility for short term transportation of natural gas supplies.

 

Responsibilities for the Gas Asset Representative include the purchase and sale of spot and short term supply and back up for short term transportation of natural gas supplies.  This position determines supply surpluses and monitors factors that influence pricing, availability and reliability of fuel sources.

 

The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of gas supply, gas procurement, gas control, capacity release markets, storage and pipeline transportation processes in order to optimize supply decisions.  Applicants should have five years of directly related experience, a Bachelor's degree and be proficient with Microsoft Excel and pipeline electronic bulletin boards.  Successful applicants should also be experienced in using other Microsoft Office Products and database management systems.  Verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate must be demonstrated.
