Due to significant growth in our energy transportation activities, Enbridge Energy has an immediate opening for a Senior Mainline Construction Engineer/Coordinator in our Engineering group at our Superior, WI office.  In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of specialty mainline construction services for Enbridge Liquids Pipeline?s (LP) capital expansion program.  As a key member of mainline development and execution teams, this position significantly contributes to the achievement of project cost, schedule, quality and EH&S goals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 As a member of capital project teams, proactively provides specialist construction services for pipeline project development and execution activities.Develops and implements LP?s construction management processes and procedures.Provides a wide variety of construction services during the development and execution phase of projects including:

? Constructability input.

? Cost estimating and scheduling input.

? Input into bid lists, contract awards, work extra authorizations and contractor claims.Hires, assigns and manages competent construction inspectors (consultants, construction managers, inspectors, etc.) ensuring that theses resources support company and project goals by providing proactive, ongoing input to construction services.Facilitates interaction and coordinator of various internal project stakeholders.Monitors and adapts LP?s inspection and construction practices to ensure ongoing suitability, and trouble shoots project specific needs.Coordinators inspection infrastructure needs such as site trailers, utilities, water, tax, computers, gas detectors, etc.Maintains a strategic network of external consultants/contractors.  Uses this network to supplement internal resources.

 QUALIFICATIONS

 Engineering degree, Engineering Technology diploma, or other equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be suitable. 10+ years directly related mainline pipeline development and construction experience.Strong leadership, communication, analytical, information management and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to work with diverse groups and individual personalities.

 

Note ? This is an office-based position, but will require regular travel to project worksites.  Enbridge provides a competitive compensation and benefits package.  Relocation benefits will be provided if applicable.
