Senior Land Agent

 

Columbia Gas Transmission is seeking a Senior Land Agent to manage their Land related activities which include negotiating property matters related to acquisition, property protection, relocation of facilities, property rights, title issues, damages and other land related issues.  This individual must have the ability to manage the Land aspect of multiple relationships, both internally and externally, and multiple projects of various sizes, utilizing both internal and contract labor resources.  The Land Agent must have the ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment around Land related issues and to manage issues in conjunction with multi-disciplinary project teams on complex projects. 

 

A bachelor degree is preferred but related work experience will be considered.  The successful candidate will have proven experience in acquisition, abstracting and property protection.  Effective communication skills, both verbal and written are paramount.  The ability to interpret and analyze land documents is essential.  Proven positive team player and customer service experience desired.

We are looking for an individual with a demonstrated initiative is results oriented and has proven problem-solving skills.  Good computer skills are essential, including the ability to create and manipulate Excel spreadsheets, compile data in Access or other types of database programs, manage e-mail, and perform other electronic tasks as assigned.
