Sr. Account Manager - Distributor Sales

Summary of Position: To sell energy products to active and prospective distributor accounts.

 

Responsibilities:

Service active accounts



A.  Responsible for maintaining all active accounts:

1. Maintenance of account.

2. Development of account.

3. Increase profitable volume.

 

Develop new business



A.  Prospecting and solicitation of new potential accounts in accordance with company guidelines.

B.  Assist in determining new markets and update existing market information by organizing and

supervising market surveys.

C.  Assist in promotional activities.

 

Planning and time organization



A.  Plan, direct coordinate and manage entire sales area with direction from manager.

B.  Organize time and territory as required by manager to maintain maximum efficiency.

 

Administrative requirements



Preparation of necessary paperwork with supervision as required:  account input documents (set up and cancel accounts), customer account adjustments, allowances subject to adjustment, expense reports, monthly reports, sales reports, memos, customer surveys, customer correspondence, terminal forecasting and special projects as required.

 

Market updates



A.  Evaluate market conditions and provide accurate information to management.

1. Competitive logistical information.

2. Changes in competitor?s marketing strategies.



B. Under daily feedback from senior account executive or manager, communicate changing marketing conditions to active and prospective accounts.

 

Dimensions:

? 3- 5 years of energy sales experience.



? General knowledge of the company?s objectives and policies.



? General knowledge of Hess administrative procedures and systems

? Technical knowledge of fuel oil properties, composition, specifications and how they relate to end-users.
