Sr. Engineer

 

Responsibilities

Works closely with Business Developers and project development team to develop large-scale energy and power project proposals and with Project Management and Operations during transition to implementation.  Under general direction, develops conceptual designs for combined heat and power projects and process integration applications to implement energy savings strategies for large-scale industrial sites including refineries and chemical production facilities.  Must possess energy plant equipment experience or process background and familiarity with reliability/availability of refineries and process plants.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering is required.  Must have strong PC and analytical skills.  Proficiency in advanced applications of Lotus and Excel is also required.  Three year or more experience in energy business project and proposal work in a plant process environment and a knowledge of business development and project skills from transition to implementation.  Three years or more experience working with conceptional designs, integration application, energy cost savings opportunities and budgets.

Desired Qualification:
- MBA
- Background and business experience in Gulf Coast refinery and/or process plants preferred.

Specific Requirements:
- Preference will be given to candidates with strong existing client relationships in the Gulf Coast and with both gas and solid fuel experience. 

Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule and overtime as required.
- Primary territory will be Gulf Coast but must be able to travel to various other locations.
