Job Summary:
LOCATION: Glendale, CA
CDM Constructors Inc has immediate openings for a California Certified Wastewater Treatment Operators. Candidates must demonstrate thorough understanding and knowledge of wastewater treatment process, sample collection, custody documentation, operation and maintenance reports and show aptitiude in instrumentation, mechanical, and electrical systems. Familiarity in PLCs and SCADA systems a plus.

Essential Functions:
-Follow ALL REQUIREMENTS OF THE COMPANY SAFETY PROGRAM. Take personal responsibility for Safety in working environment. Promote safety among peers, subordinates and supervisors.
-During start-up and operations, perform complex operations assignments
'Inspect and maintain systems ' report, follow-up and solve all system equipment or operational deficiencies with A/E, contractor, vendor or client
'Inspect and maintain secure reservoirs and flood control facilities
'Develop project start-up schedule and prepare pre-op procedures per project requirements
'Operate and maintain related equipment
'Perform testing procedures on utilities' equipment
-Remain available at all times (24/7) to take and act upon calls regarding system failures and/or unusual occurrences in the facility
-Perform administrative duties
'Prepare daily and monthly data summary reports
'Perform computer data entry of plant and well data
-Sample, test, and document discharge from facilities
-Perform additional duties as assigned

Other Functions:
-Maintain inventory of chemical agents
-Fill and rotate chemical feed tanks from transport totes
-Maintain equipment and calibrate instrumentation and controls
-Manage hazardous waste and sludge storage containers

Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-4 years waste water plant experience or equivalent technical training and experience
-California Grade II or higher Wastewater Treatment Certification or ability to obtain.
-Necessary Health & Safety training

Knowledge, Skill & Ability Requirements:
-Ability to work effectively either in start-up or ongoing operations of the facility
-Thorough knowledge of plant and equipment operation essential
-Effective written and verbal communication skills
-Mechanical / electrical aptitude
-Hazardous material handling
-Familiarity with PLC's, flow monitoring, pumps, lab procedures & equipment
-Basic personal computer skills
