Job Description: * Sr. Transmission Planning Engineer. The qualified candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Electric Utility Transmission Planning, Bulk Transmission System Planning and strategic expansion planning, including the development, preparation, and implementation of transmission power flow and dynamic and voltage stability studies, while making recommendations for the best overall system improvements to the Corporation’s Senior Management.
Qualifications: BS in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems option (BSEE) and 5+ years experience in transmission planning is required. A Professional Engineer (PE) registration is preferred. Knowledge of electric theory, transmission planning concepts and transmission system operations and demonstrated ability using various electric system analysis tools such as power flow and contingency analysis using PSS/E, PowerWorld, MUST and VSAT software is essential. Must command excellent communication skills and knowledge in state regulatory environments, economics, project development and permitting would be a plus.
