Staff Geologist

Geomap Company is seeking an entry-level petroleum geologist for our Plano, Texas office.  Duties include structural interpretation and special projects.  Familiarity with well log correlation, geologic software, cross-section construction and subsurface mapping is preferred but not required.

 

The position requires excellent verbal communication skills, strong technical writing skills and efficient time management skills.  Candidates must be highly motivated, organized and work well in a team environment.  Flexibility is required and the ability to work on a multitude of diverse projects is essential.

Applicants should have, or will soon receive, a Bachelor of Science in Geology.  Thorough training is available, but experience with well logs and subsurface mapping is preferred.  The successful candidate shall have responsibility for map interpretation, construction and analysis in multiple domestic basins. Experience with structural interpretation techniques is a plus.
