A new Global Technical Partner (GTP) within our EP Technology organization is EP Wells, which is the global provider of deepwater well delivery capability and selected non-deepwater well delivery solutions with unique added value. Shell International Exploration and Production (SIEP) is currently seeking a Subsea Systems Engineer for its Woodcreek location in Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for design and analysis of subsea systems from reservoir/well to topsides processing, with focus on integration of system components, system functionality and integrity, and system optimization, to assure systems deliver on expectations for availability and operability. Key accountabilities include: - Providing a systems view and integrate discrete work scope packages into a functioning whole - Ensuring systems deliver on expectations for reliability/availability and operability - Understanding the range of uncertainty from a total system perspective and determine appropriate functionality, operating ranges, and flexibility of design to meet project objectives - Helping prepare and coordinate Basis for Design - Helping prepare and coordinate subsea field layout - Utilizing system models (steady-state, transient, and dynamic) to perform system optimization - Ensuring full systems approach to flow assurance, chemical and materials engineering - Interfacing management, coordinating and connecting the subsea components/disciplines, as well as subsurface, wells, topsides, and operations interfaces - Creating the technical integrity assurance plan, and ensure integration of all disciplines into plan - Utilizing EPT-P work processes including Opportunity Realization Process, MOC, HSE MS, Technical Assurance Frameworks, etc. - Incorporating HSE and regulatory requirements in operability plans and system design - Helping develop subsea operating procedures and guidelines, as well as surveillance plans - Contributing to ORP deliverables such as cost estimates, VARs, and Project Execution Plans - Sharing learnings and provide technology development input

Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline and approximately 10 to 15 years of subsea experience in subsea, process, or facilities engineers with an understanding of deepwater subsea systems and project management work processes. You must have an understanding of flow assurance and operability issues related to subsea systems and the ability to manage interfaces and provide overall systems perspective. You must be enthusiastic, energetic, dedicated, flexible, results-driven, and with strong team skills.
