Supervisor Quality Control

Job Requirements:
The successful candidate(s) shall be able to lead a team environment, form interpersonal working relationships, perform scheduling, coordinate job activities, oversee safety, and provide training, mentoring, and coaching. Certifications demonstrating thorough knowledge of T & D electrical construction and maintenance programs, work policies and work practices and procedures, including strong knowledge of Accident Prevention Manual, T & D Overhead and Underground Standards, Design Standards, CPUC G.O 95, 128,165. Shall be expert on Overhead Detail Inspection program, AGMS Underground inspection, Intrusive Pole testing, Pole Replacement, and general rules and objectives of Overhead & Underground construction and maintenance. Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Control/ Quality Assurance field practice and metrics when applied to observations, field assessment, and recorded observation of completed work. Skills in Excel and Word required, strong written and oral communication, ability to create reports, provide analysis and conclusion relative to QC program objectives, including knowledge of contract management, and procurement policies. Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Typically possesses 5 or more years combined experience performing or supervising function.

Preferences:
Preferences Qualified Electrical Worker or Qualified Person/Employee or experience in Quality Control; Prior experience in T&D field construction and/ or inspection maintenance activities, power generation, college degree, or equivalent knowledge.

Typical Responsibilities:
Supervisor 3 shall oversee everyday QC workload, scheduling, coordinating, safety initiatives, and travel of all QC inspectors and QC activities and in the process maintain productivity and cost effectiveness; Supervise and manage QC employees, manage their job requirements, workloads, and monitor resource allocations; Shall provide technical interpretation of standards, expertise, training, coaching, leadership and business knowledge to all QC inspectors and personnel to help them with productivity, career growth, and capabilities; Assists with daily data entry relative to QC results; Shall strive to establish strong working relationships with various internal and external T&D organizations, supervisory/ management personnel, Regional Project Supervisors, contractors, contract organizations, work groups, and departments. Shall perform some field audit & assessment, work review to identify program effectiveness, quality, and accuracy of inspector work; May conduct inspections, takes samples, perform tests using special instruments, tools or equipment using various metrics to assess and measure work performance against pre-determined AQL: (Acceptable Quality Level) Record and document detailed findings for further analysis; Must demonstrate expertise on T&D standards, policies, and procedures. Exercise judgement, decision making; Interpret and enforce contract terms, company T&D policies
