Terminal Shift Supervisor LP - Linden, NJ

Job Description:
Supervises/coordinates the maintenance, safety, and environmental matters related to the receipt and storage of customer products through multiple transportation methods. Insures compliance with federal and state regulations. Reduces potential risk to public safety and environment and minimize company liability through efficient product movement. Supervises employees including fair and consistent assignment of tasks. Trains and develops department employees. Performs daily physical inspections and preparing status reports on equipment and operations. Operates equipment used in daily operations and prepare laboratory analysis. Prepares daily and monthly reports and material and service requisitions. Evaluates subordinates daily activities for performance evaluation. Assures daily, weekly and annual reports are delivered to management, interdepartmental groups and customers according to regulatory and contractual obligations.

Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum five years of experience in product movement and/or operations required. Safety and hazard training as well as spill response training for pipeline and marine preferred. Supervisory or management experience with customers required. Certification or formal training in mechanics preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Strong PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft products to include Word and Excel required. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to independently proof work for accuracy required. Must be able to manage time to meet appropriate deadlines and schedules, work successfully in stressful situations, and manage multiple tasks. Must be able to independently conduct job accountabilities. Ability to take directions from supervisors required. Ability to work independently with limited supervision required. Knowledge of Department of Transportation requirements necessary.
