Our client, one of the leading utilities in the country, is actively seeking to add an experienced Transmission Planning Engineer to their internal team.  This position will be responsible for performing the short-term and long-term strategic transmission system planning for key system upgrades and expansion.

 

The core requirements of this position are:A Bachelor?s degree in Electrical Engineering, Transmission planning experience,Knowledge of electric theory, transmission planning concepts and transmission system operations,Ability to use various electric system analysis tools,Excellent verbal and written communication skills (the ability to prepare both written and oral presentations / responses of complex and political matters in a very simplified manner),Must be able to break down complex information and communicate it simply to non-technical audiences,Must be able to speak clearly,Must be able to speak in public settings / forums.

 

Other key functions and responsibilities are:Conduct various strategic planning analysis,Conduct power flow, dynamic and/or voltage stability studies to develop short and long-term transmission system requirements and reinforcements,Prepare formal written recommendations,Support regulatory filings,Communicate with stakeholders.

 

This is an outstanding opportunity with one of Wisconsin?s favorite employers.  Compensation will match your skills and experiences, but generally within a base range of $85,000 to $95,000, plus 10% - 15% bonus, plus a generous benefits package.  Our client will fly in out of town candidates for interviews and provide relocation assistance.
