?About the Opportunity!
We seek a talented Turbine Outage Engineer.? Responsibilities include providing technical direction of on-site repair and overhaul activities during scheduled and forced outages.? Work shall be mostly comprised of plant maintenance and supervision, engineering, outside consultants, service engineers, and/or vendor representatives.? Completion of these projects within the Plant?s planned schedule and cost estimates shall be of dominant importance.

??????????? Provide technical direction for off-site repair activities and vendor shops.? Maintain accurate an up-to-date information and records of repair shop activities, schedules, work loading, shop QA/QC issues, costs, and component transportation issues.? Frequently and effectively communicate shop progress and any technical concerns, including recommendations for appropriate corrective actions, to plant supervision and the appropriate outage management.

Maintain centralized, permanent records of all turbine-generator, turbine valves, and control component overhaul, troubleshooting and inspection reports; OEM service bulletins, complete with disposition statements, plans and/or records of activities completed to address such recommendations; and industry advisories concerning major turbine-generator reliability issues.? Issue reliability assessment reports on a unit basis that summarize industry and/or specific component concerns.

Maintain awareness of unit and component performance indices (including efficiency analyses, vibration trending and diagnostics, lube oil analyses, thermography and other predictive maintenance analyses).? Provide recommendations to plant supervision for scheduled and forced maintenance activities, also recommendations for any additional component performance analysis required for component equipment condition assessments.

?Provide professional, competent, timely, and well-documented engineering, troubleshooting, and technical services focused on turbine-generators, pumps, fans, and other critical rotating equipment.

??????????? Assist plant supervision with analyses and recommendations leading to effective decisions concerning operations and maintenance practices for the above equipment.? Evaluate and recommend economically justifiable improvements in both reliability and efficiency.

??????????? Provide lead direction of needs assessment, alternative evaluation, specification development, cost estimating, bid evaluations, and follow-up performance validation.?

??????????? Developing, planning, and executing outages and preparing outage reports and health?

??????????? Responsible for continuous improvement of the outage process
??????????? Performing root cause analysis (CIR/CIA)
??????????? Responsible for area budget development, tracking, and adherence
??????????? Adheres to all outage milestone due dates

Bachelor degree in Engineering required with 5 to 8 years experience. Must possess a thorough working knowledge of operations and maintenance practices of fossil power plants, especially turbines.? Be familiar with outage related construction and maintenance tools and methodologies.? Must be knowledgeable in budget creation, tracking and reporting.? The candidate should also possess project experience and have the ability to analyze projects to identify and maximize benefits.? The candidate must possess strong oral and written communications skills as well as being proficient in PC applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access. Must have a positive attitude.
