Turbine Repair Design Engineer - Turbine/Component/Repairs 65-90 K/yr
Client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Turbine Repairs Engineer with 10+ years of experience performing gas & steam turbine component repairs. You need a BSME, BSMET or similar technical degree. You will be responsible for the repair of gas & steam turbine components in subcontractor repair shops. You will develop & refine existing gas and steam turbine repair specifications. You will be expected to do the following: (1) write purchase requisition for repairs to gas & steam turbine components, (2) negotiate turbine repair contracts, (3) develop training for new repair engineers/specialists and cross training of different OEM components, (4) reduce the repair turn time of turbine components, (5) develop repair strategies to reduce the cost of turbine maintenance, (6) develop a technical group for component failure analysis & (7) support the development of third party parts manufacturing. You must have technical knowledge of the following turbine repair technologies: dimensional, welding, forming, metallurgy, & heat treating. You should have a working knowledge of turbine operating philosophy, including troubleshooting problems. Client offers great pay, benefits, 401k and relocation package.
