Wholesale Gas Scheduler

Summary of Position: This position performs activities that ensure all natural gas obligations are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner. (I.e. nominations, monitor production flow, confirmations, balancing, etc.)  The individual is required to have significant interaction with natural gas pipelines, forward and spot traders, and retail operations to ensure least cost routing and optimization of transportation assets.  Working knowledge of pipeline tariffs required.  This position requires 24x7support, as needed, to monitor AHC positions with natural gas pipelines and counterparties.  Provides support to accounting with resolving billing and pipeline invoice discrepancies. Involvement in departmental projects and provide detail analysis as required.

 

Responsibilities:

? Schedule gas for transportation on several Pipeline systems.

 

? Maintain confirmed volumes in the Apollo gas management system.

 

? Monitor production volumes and reconcile imbalances.

 

? Perform imbalance trades to minimize cash-outs.

 

? Develop and maintain relationships with natural gas pipelines and counterparties.

 

? Continue to monitor pipeline tariff changes and report the impacts to AHC operations

 



Dimensions:



? Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent business experience.

 

? Strong quantitative analytical and problem solving skills.

 

? Ability to handle multiple tasks in pressure situations.

 

? Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.

 

? Strong communication skills.
