Job Duties:

The FAE is the primary technical resource on the sales team responsible for pre and post sale key customer support. This will entail delivery of expert level hands-on applications software and digital hardware design support on and off site as required.  Additionally the FAE will accurately and persuasively facilitate communication between key customers and internal ADI Engineering/Marketing groups, identify and pursue new applications/market opportunities, offer feedback on competitive trends/products, and develop application notes, training and tutorial material.

DSP Field Applications Engineer with geographic responsibility for development and support of the Mid-Atlantic territory (MD, Eastern PA, Southern NJ, VA).

Directly assist the sales team in targeting/discovering, qualifying, prioritizing and closing new key DSP opportunities. Prepare/present as necessary customer targeted technical sales material intended to inform customers of our products and transition them to point of choice and beyond. Prepare/present as necessary customer targeted technical training material intended to facilitate independent design activity where appropriate. Drive post choice DSP design-in activity through first hand technical support provided to key customers as required through participation in the following customer directed efforts as deemed necessary: system design planning,  hardware/software partitioning, algorithm design, schematic review, hardware debug, application software development/debug and other activities required to successfully transition key customers through to production.

Basic Qualifications:

BSEE or MSEE with 4 years hands-on design experience in hardware and software for real-time digital signal processing systems.  Hands on proficiency in structured C, C++ and Assembly programming.  Proficiency with operating systems such as uCLinux and others in embedded real-time environments.

Additional Qualifications:

Previous field experience would be an asset.
