(159) AEHF Payload Systems Engineer

Comm Systems Engineer to take ownership of payload specification, Intra-Payload ICD and 10-20 payload requirements. Responsiblities include coordinating future spec changes and presenting Sepcification Change Notices (SCNs) at payload and Program Engineering Review Boards. Requirement ownership responsibilities include reviewing/resolving unit issues related to payload requirements, population of the Payload Verification Tracking Matrix (VTM), review of lower-level verification activities needed for selloffof the payload requirements, documentation of payload-level verification actitives, and presentation of payload requirement selloff at the payload verification review board. Other possible assignements could include support to SEH/OOH, design verification logs, and payload verification review board as needed. U.S. Citizenship and DoD Secret Clearance is required.


Must be capable of providing technical expertise and leadership in one or more of the following areas: spaceborne payload systems engineering design, communication systems, laser/optical communication systems, antenna systems design, RF and digital systems design, baseband and digital signal processing, modulation theory, signal detection and estimation, and synchronization theory. Strong team leadership and communication skills a must. Ability to interface with and present to customer cummunity, good coordination and cummunications skills, ability to keep track of issues and not allow this to drop. Flexibilty to adjust to changing priorities. BS in Electrical Engineering with >8 years experience required; MSEE or PhD in communications theory or DSP preferred. U.S. Citizenship is required. DoD Secret Clearance is required.
