1824 - Field Marketing Engineer

Job Description ? Summary of Major Responsibilities and Duties:

ASR DMR (Digital Mobil Radio)/ GP (General Purpose)/ RF + MW Field Marketing Engineer (FME) ? Primary interface and conduit between ASR Sales Force and Product Division in the following focus areas:

-  New Product Launch packages for Non-System/Non-Protocol centric DMR products and General Purpose RF/MW products

-  ASR Pricing for Non-System/Non-Protocol centric DMR products and General Purpose RF/MW products

-  Application funneling from Sales Team, qualification of the application ideas and proposals to include market surveys and customer qualification/requirements for the application and subsequent submission of an application qualification ?package? to ASR Marketing Communications for implementation which includes technical proposals/white papers, application notes, qualified customer list and marketing proposal/recommendations.

The FME role concerns itself with executing the day-to-day activities associated with the following: (1) understanding and communicating the assigned product portfolio; (2) ensuring proper placement and positioning of the portfolio in the marketplace; (3) evaluating and adjusting pricing strategies based on competition and opportunity in the marketplace;  (4) Continual interaction with ASR MARCOM and Division MARCOM for promoting the portfolio continuously to stimulate interest from sales channels and customers.

 

Test and Measurement Equipment experience mandatory.

 

? Minimum five years product management, product marketing and/or field-related experience in supporting a sales channel?s selling efforts of network elements, software or testing instrumentation in wireless networks.

? Minimum five years product management, product marketing and/or field-related experience in supporting a sales channel?s selling efforts of general purpose RF and MW test and measurement equipment.

? Demonstrated working knowledge of physical layer wireless hand-set and signal analysis test and measurement platforms.

? Demonstrated working knowledge of general purpose RF/MW test and measurement platforms.

? Experience in 3G mobile communications technologies; common air interfaces (such as GSM/GPRS, CDMA, CDMA2000, EDGE) and controlling software at the application layer.

? Experience working regularly with international business units and cultures.

? Desire to establish, maintain and grow relationships with direct and indirect sales entities and international manufacturing divisions.

B.S. EE or equivalent, MBA with Marketing emphasis desirable.
