JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Various assignments of an analytical and technical nature supporting a DoD Joint program office and other customers as needed. Specific responsibilities may include: conducting background analysis in support of customer-directed system testing; reviewing and writing documentation such as technical reports, planning documents, and status briefings; conducting technical literature searches; operating and/or maintaining analytical software packages; using a selection of models or simulation for analysis; some programming and software development; working with assessment tools and software executables involving large volumes of data; assisting in the testing of software; writing automation scripts and setup of the structure of a data library to streamline testing. 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Skills, Experience, Education): Junior analyst is needed for modeling, simulation, and analysis in support of Joint C4ISR programs. Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology) is strongly recommended but may be offset by previous experience. The following are favorable additions: experience with mathematical programming languages (such as MATLAB) or object-oriented languages and methods (Visual Basic, C++, etc.), knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, technical knowledge of commercial/ military networks, and/or familiarity with the Unified Modeling Language (UML). Experience in software test case development desired. Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Successful candidates will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship required.
