JOB DUTIES: Advanced Systems Engineering analysis of ECM-RADAR interaction.  Position requires the ability to analyze a RADAR's circuitry based on knowledge of existing and forecasted ECM capabilities to determine vulnerable circuits and assist in designing instrumentation and analysis methods as required to observe and understand those circuits' responses to ECM stimulus.  This engineering tasking involves ground based and airborne systems under test in an open-air test environment.  Candidate will serve as a principal investigator and contributor to Systems Engineering operations and research projects.

 

 

1.  Develops and applies advanced methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and difficult system design requirements and problems.  Conducts investigations of considerable complexity.  Provides technical consultation to other organizations or customers.

2.  Direct interface and liaison with internal and external customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.

3.  Plans, conducts and technically directs projects or major phases of significant projects requiring the expert application of advanced knowledge.

4.  Reviews completion and implementation of systems additions and/or enhancements and recommends corrections in technical application and analysis to management.

5.  Represents the company as technical advisor in high-level meetings and briefings with company and customer personnel.

6.  Prepare, deliver and submit technical papers and perform engineering studies. Support development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work.

7.  Acts as and is recognized as a Company/Industry expert resource on the most complex engineering studies.  Support development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort  of the proposed scope of work.

8.  Maintain technical project responsibility for assigned tasks and advise management of progress in support of the technical and administrative direction of project operations.

9. Conduct site visits, experimental investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The candidate must possess an established, substantial, professional reputation in ECM techniques and effectiveness.  Uses superior communications skills, both verbal and written, in day-to-day project activities as well as in briefing customers, writing reports and proposals.  Extensive experience with data analysis tools and RF measurement techniques is a must.  Such knowledge and skills would be acquired through a combination of a PhD in Engineering, or other advanced academic accomplishments plus at least 13 years of research and contribution in the incumbent?s field of expertise.  Must also be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and access.
 
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate must possess an established, substantial, professional reputation in ECM techniques and effectiveness.  Demonstrates the ability to direct senior technical personnel in project assignments involving hardware/software integration of complex systems.  Such knowledge and skills would be acquired though a combination of a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or a PhD or other advanced academic accomplishments plus at least 20 years of experience in the ECM testing field of expertise.
