A&D Designer

Our continued success and growth has produced a need for a talented Fire Alarm and Detection Designer in our Orange, CA location.


Job Description
Prepare fire protection design drawings to meet Customer specifications and requirements of AHJ, NFPA 72, and NEC Codes & Standards.  Work closely with A&D Designers, Sales Representatives, Architects, Mechanical & Electrical Engineers to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient project turn around time. Conduct job site surveys, order project materials, and attend construction meetings. 


Minimum Qualifications

? Knowledge of NFPA 72 and NEC codes

? Excellent communication and organizational skills

? Good working knowledge of project design/management

? Valid driver?s license with a good driving record

? Familiarity with general construction practices and terminology

? Minimum 5 years experience in Fire Protection Design

? Proficient in AutoCAD 2000-2004, Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook

 

Preferred Qualifications

? NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm

? Certificates for any type of Fire Alarm equipment
