ABAP SAP Programmer

Our client, an innovative leader in retail is looking to add a SAP ABAP Programmer Analyst at their offices in San Francisco, CA.

 

Position Summary:

 

Work with Human Resource and Finance business partners to define system requirements for the HR and Finance systems running on the SAP platform. Able to demonstrate technical SAP programming skills and assist the Sr. System Analyst to define solutions to meet the requirements. Works to ensure that IT services are aligned with the corporate business direction.

 

Position Responsibilities:

1. Work with the lead in working with business partners to evaluate business processes and identify opportunities for applying technology.

2. Define complex business requirements and propose business solutions using prescribed SDLC tools and techniques.

3. Work with IT management and development staff to ensure business requirements are clearly documented and that the solutions meet the requirements.

4. Work closely with business partners to ensure appropriate participation in and coordination of development and/or system integration projects.

5. Manage expectations relative to delivery of IT projects.

6. Keep up with current trends in technology as they relate to the retail operation business areas.

7. Participate in walkthroughs to validate designs meet requirements; offers constructive feedback to other supported application platforms.

8. Participate in recruiting by conducting interviews to assess technical and other skills necessary to perform job.

9. Willingly share knowledge and experience within the IT team.

 

Requirements:

1. 4-6+ years SAP ABAP programming/development experience (HR and  Finance; Merchandising is a plus)

2. Good/solid ?hands on? technical skills

3. Must be very flexible/adaptable, client service focused (willing to work closely with the client group), results oriented (flex hours if needed to meet the deadlines)

4. Some experience and knowledge in the retail operation business environment.

5. Potential skills in business analysis, developing project proposals, system requirements, and business design.

6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.

7. Good knowledge of data base design and data communications concepts.

8. Effective oral / written communications ability; interacts well with all levels in IT and business.

9. Able to effectively present complex solutions to technical and non-technical staff at all levels of the organization.

 

Hours and Compensation:

? Full Time

? Compensation commensurate with experience.
